Saturday evenings, long weekends and event nights are the hardest times to find an accessible vehicle at short notice. For a wedding, a fortnight ahead is sensible; more in peak season.
Getting out afterwards is the harder half
Arrivals are easy to plan because they have a deadline. Departures are where accessible transport falls apart: sixty thousand people leaving Optus Stadium at once, a reception that runs an hour over, a wake with no fixed end. Trying to find an accessible vehicle at that moment is close to hopeless.
We handle it by agreeing the departure arrangement in advance: either a wait-and-return, where the driver stays for the duration, or a fixed collection time and a designated meeting point away from the crush. Both beat hoping something turns up.

Fares, PTSS and NDIS funding
Metro trips run on the WA Government maximum metered rates with no accessibility surcharge, and pre-booked journeys can be quoted as a fixed price. A purple PTSS card pays 75% of the fare, up to a $35 subsidy, when you travel in your wheelchair in a wheelchair accessible taxi.

Big venues need the departure planned as carefully as the arrival, because post-event traffic management closes roads and moves pick-up points. We'll agree an accessible collection point clear of the crowds when you book.

We'll cover the chapel or graveside service and the wake afterwards, whether that's Karrakatta, Pinnaroo Valley, Fremantle Cemetery or a parish church, with the driver waiting between the two so nobody is left standing outside. Just give us the times and venues.
For a wedding or planned function, a fortnight is sensible and more is better in peak season. Saturday evenings and event nights are when accessible vehicles are hardest to find at short notice. Funerals are the exception. We take those at short notice and prioritise them.
For pre-booked event work we quote a fixed price up front rather than running a meter, covering the outbound leg, the return and any agreed waiting. Group vehicles otherwise run on Tariff 3, the WA rate for five or more passengers. There is never an accessibility surcharge.
