Westfield Carousel dominates the suburb and, for a lot of our passengers, dominates the reason for the trip. It is a large centre with accessible parking that fills fast on weekends and school holidays, and a set-down at the right entrance saves a considerable push across a carpark. Our drivers will use the entrance nearest whatever you are actually there for, rather than the closest one to the road.
Cannington also sits inside a cluster of things people travel to regularly: Bentley Health Service a few minutes north, Curtin University at Bentley, the Cannington Leisureplex, and the medical and allied-health practices spread along Albany Highway and through Queens Park and East Cannington. Most of these are short metered runs, which is the type of trip where not paying an accessibility surcharge makes a visible difference to the fare.
The suburb's proximity to our Victoria Park base is the practical advantage. Accessible vehicles have to come from somewhere, and Cannington is close enough that a same-day request here is usually workable in a way it is not at the outer edges of the metro.
